HALF MOON NAILS
This weekend I tried out the classic vintage half moon manicure for the first time. Here's a quick how to.
1. Start off with a transparent basecoat |
2. Then white nail polish
|
3. I found some manicure stickers, but they were really expensive, so I just bought some regular ones and cut them out in the right shape. |
4. You'll have to wait until the nail polish is COMPLETELY dry before you put on the stickers. |
5. Put on the red nail polish and wait again. Then pull the sticker of from one side to the other.
|
6. Finish with a transparent top coat and - Voila! |
DeleteThey turned out fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI have tried that method before, but the stickers "melt" into the nail polish on my fingers! Then I am stuck pulling it out and having to redo them :/
I think after seeing your tutorial, I have to give it another go...
Thank you! - you should definitely give it another go :)
DeleteI think the most difficult part is the waiting - the white nail polish have to be completely dry. I put it on in the evening and put on the red the next morning to make sure it was dry.
Very nice tutorial! I do this frequently, with the little hole-punch
ReplyDeletereinforcement stickers. :)
I really have to try those! Thanks!
DeleteI use cheap-o paper-hole-reinforcers from the dollar store! they're too cheap-quality to stick to the nails and rip off the existing polish! ;D
ReplyDeleteHaha that's perfect! I have to find these paper-hole-reinforcers and try it out. I've never seen them in Denmark, but on the other hand, I've never looked for them.
DeleteThank you!
