HALF MOON NAILS

This weekend I tried out the classic vintage half moon manicure for the first time.
Here's a quick how to.

1. Start off with a transparent basecoat
2. Then white nail polish

3. I found some manicure stickers, but they were really expensive, so I just bought some regular ones and cut them out in the right shape.

4. You'll have to wait until the nail polish is COMPLETELY dry before you put on the stickers.
5. Put on the red nail polish and wait again. Then pull the sticker of from one side to the other.

6. Finish with a transparent top coat and - Voila!

  2. They turned out fabulous!

I have tried that method before, but the stickers "melt" into the nail polish on my fingers! Then I am stuck pulling it out and having to redo them :/

I think after seeing your tutorial, I have to give it another go...

    1. Thank you! - you should definitely give it another go :)

I think the most difficult part is the waiting - the white nail polish have to be completely dry. I put it on in the evening and put on the red the next morning to make sure it was dry.

  3. Very nice tutorial! I do this frequently, with the little hole-punch
    reinforcement stickers. :)

  4. I use cheap-o paper-hole-reinforcers from the dollar store! they're too cheap-quality to stick to the nails and rip off the existing polish! ;D

    1. Haha that's perfect! I have to find these paper-hole-reinforcers and try it out. I've never seen them in Denmark, but on the other hand, I've never looked for them.

      Thank you!
