TIDENS DETALJE

Today I went to the release of a new danish vintage magazine about the 1950s - Tidens Detalje . The release was held in an old beautiful glove shop called Randers Handsker in the middle of Copenhagen. I'm very impressed with the magazine and really looking forward reading all the articles and studying the beautiful pictures. A must for all danish vintage loving ladies!

DRESS NO. 7

This dress is very special to me. It's really beautiful and very comfortable to wear and that's probably why I, one evening wearing this dress, had the confidence to walk up to a very handsome man and compliment his beard (I have a thing with beards). We've been together for two years now.

This sunday I went to the outdoor flea market at Carlsberg and found some really good stuff. Here are some pictures from a great book about Elvis Presley. 

FN92

Today a little dream of mine finally came true - I spent all day babysitting all these beautiful dresses in my all time favorite vintage shop FN92 in Copenhagen. This little boutique is packed with gorgeous high quality dresses from 1850 - 1980 - it's like vintage heaven! 
I met a lot of really nice people and of course I bought a few things too. I don't think I have to tell you I had a wonderful day.

DRESS NO. 6

Yesterday I wore this dress at work and after lunch some of my wonderful colleagues snapped some quick photos of me eating watermelon and wearing watermelon at the same time - almost too good to be true.

TEKNISK SKOLE

When I was younger I took some classes at this school. I've always loved the red bricks and the big neon sign. I hope they never change it.

WEEKEND

This saturday my boyfriend and I went to his brother and his wife's birthday party. They had arranged a trip in this beautiful bus from the 1960s and we had a great day.
Sunday was all about relaxing - I went for a walk, some window shopping and a shake.

DRESS NO. 5

This dress is one of my absolute favorites for summertime. I bought it one summer, I think five years ago, in one of the best vintage shops I've ever seen: Laura Dols in Amsterdam - http://lauradols.nl/. This shop is simply incredible, especially if you're into 50s dresses and I visit it every time I'm in Amsterdam.
When I bought it, the roses were bright red, but after a dry cleaning they faded a lot. Now I'm extremely careful about dry cleaning. If anyone knows a good dry cleaner in Copenhagen who knows a bit about vintage clothing, please let me know!


Dress no. 5 is a beautiful white 1950s cotton dress with (what used to be) red roses and green leafs.
